My name is Lisa and I have been the sole owner of AppleTREE Academy for over 30 years. Working with children was a lifelong dream of mine and now serves as my passion. I received my CDA (Child Development Associate) in preschool education and an Ancillary and I now sit as the owner and director of AppleTREE Academy for 30 years. In addition, I was the preschool children’s pastor for New Beginnings Church in Covington but decided after twelve years to retire to spend with my grandchildren. I have also served on The Board of Directors for The Northshore Association for the Education of Young Children and Children and Adults with Attention Disorder bringing my passion for children and their families. I am married to Brendon Hayes. We have four adult children and seven grandchildren! In addition to working with children, I love growing my relationship with Jesus. I have attended bible study classes for at lease 20 years. 

 Hello everyone! My name is Jane Williams, and I am so happy to be part of your child’s early learning journey. I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) for Infants and Toddlers in 2009, along with my Ancillary Certification, and I have spent the last 50 years doing what I truly love—teaching and nurturing young learners.

I’ve had the joy of working with children of all ages, from sweet infants to busy, curious Pre-K explorers. For the past 30 years, AppleTREE Academy has been my home away from home. I currently serve as the Assistant Director and our School Administrator, and I feel blessed every day to do what I consider my true calling.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy time with my own beautiful family—two children, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who keep my heart full and my days joyful.

Hi there! I'm Mrs. Krystal, and welcome to AppleTREE Academy! I've proudly been part of this amazing family for 5 wonderful years. Originally from Chalmette, I've called Lacombe home since 2005, where I live with my amazing husband, Robert, our sweet, spunky daughter, Mila, and our 2 lovable fur babies, Roux and Buster.

I've always believed a little bit of magic makes everything better- maybe that's why I adore all things Disney, Golden Girls, and anime! In November 2024, I received the call that changed my life forever, becoming a double transplant warrior. Since then, I've truly been living my best and grateful life! 

Outside the classroom, you'll often find me creating something special- sewing, making hairbows, crafting beaded pens and badge reels or simply enjoying time with my family. I'm a proud graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor's in General Studies and a minor in Art, and I've been working with children for over 16 years. 

Caring for infants is where my heart shines brightest. I love being part of their very first steps in learning and growth- watching their personalities blossom is pure joy! In 2019, I earned my Ancillary Certificate and continue to take classes to stay up to date on the best ways to nurture and support my babies. One thing I want all parents to know: I will love and care for your little ones as if they were my own. I can't wait to meet you and your children and make this year truly magical!

 My name is Elizabeth Chauvin, I am in my early twenties and currently the lead teacher for the 6-12 month olds. One of my favorite hobbies is spending quality time with my family and fiancé. I have been working with young children for 4 years and my absolute favorite part about it... is to watch them grow. When a child first comes to me they are at the start of crawling then I work on sitting up and by time they leave they are walking, talking, and very expressive with their feelings. I love being able to bring out the best side in a child and to show them they are loved and cared for. I have wanted to work with children since I was very young and feel so grateful to be able to do what I love.  I can't wait to interact with your child!

Hi, I’m Kayleigh Evans! I'm so excited to be a part of your child's early learning experience. I graduated from Ascension Christian High in 2023 and am currently attending college at Delgado. Before joining this childcare, I worked at Ascension Christian Early Learning Center, where I discovered my passion for working with children.

Outside of work, I enjoy singing, playing guitar, and attending church at Bethany in Baton Rouge. I also love spending time with my dog, Diesel! I feel very blessed to meet and share time with each and every child whom I care for, and I'm looking forward to getting to know your little ones.

 Bienvenido and Hello! I'm Miss Lucy! I'm so excited to be part of your child's learning journey! I've been working with children for about 4 months, and I already know this is the field where my heart belongs. Watching children learn, grow, and discover new things is such a rewarding experience- it's truly amazing to be part of something so important!

I'm currently working toward earning my CDA to continue growing right alongside the kiddos. When I'm not in the classroom, you will find me playing volleyball, singing my heart out, or spending time with my close-knit family. 

I can't wait to get to know your little ones and see their unique personalities shine each day!

 Hi there! I'm Miss Hailey!

I'm so excited to be working with your amazing children this year ! I've been working with little ones for 2 years and am currently working toward earning my CDA in Early Childhood Education.

What I love most about teaching is getting to share new experiences with the children and watching them learn, grow, and shine everyday! Their curiosity and excitement make every moment special.

When I'm not in the classroom, you'll probably find me out 4-wheeling, drawing, or spending time with my family and friends. I can't wait to learn, laugh, and make wonderful memories together this year!

 Hi, my name is Megan Chauvin, I originally started working at AppleTREE Academy as a part time floater but throughout my time here I have grow to truly love working with children and decided to make a career out of it. I am currently working towards my goal to obtain my CDA. I have been working with children since December 2024. I love the bonds I get to make with not only the children but the parents as well. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my loved ones, taking care of my pets, and reading. 

My name is Monica Jones. I have earned my CDA (Child Development Associate) in 2005 for Infant/Toddler and an Ancillary. I have been teaching children since 1996. I started out my journey in teaching as a substitute at a local school. I then began my journey in the childcare field in 1999. I have worked with children of all ages from infants to preteens. I have received my ancillary certification. I love teaching children. It is a deep passion of mine to watch children learn and grow. I look forward to learning new things daily to help interact with the children and their families.

 Hi there! My name is Macy Charrier! I have been working with kids at my church for 6 years now. I also work in many child based programs at the  YMCA. I am so excited to work with your children and watch them grow throughout the year! I love seeing their smiles everyday as they learn and play. I'm currently a senior at Covington High School. I am a powerlifter and I am part of the CHS National Honor Society. I also Dance at LA Dance Academy. After I graduate in May of 2026, I will be studying at Southeastern Louisiana University, majoring in Early Elementary Education. Outside of work, I enjoy taking my dogs for walks, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.

 Hello! My name is Shelley Taylor. I have been working in the education field for 28 years and just recently retired as a Special Education Teacher. I have 3 children and raised golden retrievers. Some hobbies that I enjoyed are kayaking, camping and listening to music. I have been involved in AppleTREE for over 31 years.

 Hello everyone...I'm Susan. I have been working in childcare for 15 + years. I have my One thing I love about this field of work is spending time with children and getting to them grow and thrive while in my care. I love to travel to different places as well as scrapbooking my different journeys.
